Before this falls into the deep, dark recesses of my mind I must record it and share.

My second morning of being in hospital I woke up at about 5am, as I did every morning there. I went to shower, after my shower while getting dressed in the room I heard a woman screaming outside. So I went up to the window to get a better listen in. Well this woman was going ballistic. Screaming in what sounded like pain and profanities like no-one’s business. She was then screaming “Give me the f-ing drugs!!!!!”

The emergency room was a couple of floors under me, so I assumed she was some deranged druggie trying to get her next fix.

Curiosity  got the better of me and I asked a nurse what was going on in the early hours in the emergency room. Well she looked at me with a puzzled look and told me nothing that she was aware of. I explained what I had heard, at this point the other nurse smiled knowingly.

My room also happened to be above the labour ward and there was a lady who had attempted the drug free option. (Well not that it lasted)
